Colour measurement

 

Colour measurement is often used to convert the discolouration of coatings or materials as a result of life cycle tests into colour values (L, a, b, delta E, Yellowness Index,…).

Test procedure:

A colour meter with spherical geometry (8°) is used for color analysis according to different colour models.

There are always 3 measurements, spread over the surface, made per coating or material, after which average values and standard deviations are calculated.
