Gloss measurement

 

The gloss level of a surface is a measure of mirror reflection and is expressed in gloss units (GU).

Coatings or material surfaces

 

Test method standards:

ISO 2813

 

Test procedure:

Depending on the roughness and gloss of a surface, the test should be conducted under the appropriate angle (20°, 60° or 85°) according to ISO 2813. We usually test on flat surfaces since the viewing port of 60 x 12 mm must be covered completely.
