Organic element analysis
This elemental analysis is used to determine the nitrogen, carbon and hydrogen present in samples.
Can be applied to:
3D printed structures, coatings, plastics, other surfaces
Test procedure:
First, the sample of a few milligrams undergoes a flash combustion from which outgoing gases are carried away by helium.
After combustion, the various compounds are oxidised or reduced so that the gases leave as H2O, CO2, and N2.
These gases will then be separated by a gas chromatography column. And finally, they will pass through a thermally conductive detector.
All tests – composites – metals – plastics – coatings – adhesives – 3D prints
