Wash and scrub resistance test
The washing and scrub test makes it possible to evaluate the wear resistance of (coated) materials under the influence of cleaning, dry or wet sanding. The test is used to determine the scrub resistance of paints but can also be used in pollution tests with simulation of cleaning.
Can be applied to:
Coatings, composites, metals, plastics
Test method standards:
ASTM D2486, ASTM D3450, ASTM D4213, ASTM D4828, ISO11998
Test procedure:
The scrub resistance is determined by evaluating the wear or weight loss of a paint when tested for a predetermined number of cycles using a brush or scotch brite pad.
Different brushes, sponges and liquids are available.
Lead time:
5 business days
All tests – composites – metals – plastics – coatings – adhesives – 3D prints
